AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. Business was very quiet on the Auckland sharemarket at the single call on Saturday. In Government securities- the inquiry was easier than has been tlie rule lately. Inscribed Stock, 1929, 5 per cent., . was wanted at £97 15s, an advance of 5s on Friday, but the enhanced offer failed to attract quotations. In commer- j cial debentures New Zealand Breweries were available at the current price of' 26s 6d, buyers 25s 6d. Milne and Choyce had demand at £95. In banks Union of Australia had sale at £ls 10s. More were wanted at £ls 7s 6d. Quotations for New Zealands were easier at 62s 3d, buyers being unchanged at 61s 9d. In insurance Nationals were available at 85s, but no offers were received. There was inquiry for New Zealands at 42s 6d. South British wero unchanged at 62s and 61s. In gas Aucklands wore quoted at 245, buyers 23s Bd. The rates for the contributing issue wero unchanged at lis lOd and lis Bd. In miscellaneous New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser were quoted at 97s 6d, buyers offering 955. Sanford, Limited, were quoted at 23s 3d, buyers 22s 6d. In mining the only transaction was in Alburnias, which had sale at 4s 4d.
