OBJECTION TO VALUATIONS. [by telegraph.—press association.] CHRISTCHURCH. A lively meeting of ratepayers of the Marshland riding of the "v\ airriairi County Council last night voiced strong protests against the recent Government valuations, which were held to be excessive. The following resolution was carried This meeting is strongly of opinion that objectors to valuations should be allowed a representative at the Assessment Court, and that this should apply to the wholo of New Zealand.
