HAVE YOU A PERSONALITY?
I , always. think that • personality is a woman's greatest asset> says a writer in an exchange. I had quite an argument on this point the other day with a great friend of mine. She eontended that if she hiid the choice between beauty and personality she would ask for beauty. I disagreed, as I consider, and I think rightly, that personality in time creates an Atmosphere all its own, and has a much longer existence than beauty if,..carefully exploited. Personality endows & woman with individual charm—an indescribable something which gives her an air of surety and poise. A plain woman is never insignificant if she has personality, but without this quality even a beautiful woman lacks distinction. Of course dress }>lays a great part. Dress undoubtedly influences character; and to dress well is an art in itself. It needs study, an eye for colour, and an appreciation of the correct line. Slost women know that the expression of; their personality in the fascinating art of dressing effectively emphasises their charm. If you wish to acquire personality you must try to cultivate a reposeful manner, and endeavour to feel at ease in any company. It is most important that you should value yourself highly and be confident in yourself and your own powers. After all the outside world knows very little about your character, and takes you very much at your own valuation. An air of assurance is one of the first essentials of poise.
