LADY HOUSTON WINS.

COURT DECISION REVERSED. MENTALITY DECLARED SOUND. A. and N.Z. LONDON, July 4. The Royal Court at Jersey, after having heard the ovidence of medical experts, rescinded its former declaration that Lady Houston, widow of the late Sir Robert Houston, was incapable of managing her own affairs.

Lady Houston, widow of the millionaire shipowner, petitioned the Jersey Court to annul the appointment of a curator of her late husband's estate, the appointment having been made because of medical reports regarding Lady Houston's alleged mental instability. It was claimed on behalf of Lady Houston that the specialists found that hei ijl-healtb culminated in an attack of jaundice, accompanied by mental confusion, which disappeared when the jaundice was cured. The Court adjourned the application on June 25 to enable the principal residents of Jersey to hear medical evidence in accordance with Channel Islands law.
