ODDMENT WOOL SALE.
MARCH BATES MAINTAINED.
An oddment wool sal© was held in the Auckland Chamber of Commerce rooms yesterday, three of the Auckland brokers submitting a catalogue totalling about 200 bales. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was keen, prices being up to r March sale rates. The offering was not attractive, being mostly oddments from back country stations and a fair proportion was seedy. The few bright lots offered sold well, but taking into consideration the difference in quality, rough and seedy wool made exceptionally good prices. Following is the range of prices Crossbred, fine, to 12d; medium, 8d to Ud; coarse, 7d to 9d; seedy crossbred, 6d to 9gd; bellies and pieces, 6d to 7fd; locks, 4d to 4|d. Lambs: Fine, to Is medium, lOd to lid; seedy and inferior, 5d to fjd. Crutchings: Firsts, 7d to 7§d; seconds, 6d to 6Ad: heavy and seedy, 4d to s£d. Dead wool, 6d to 8!d.
