RENEWALS AND TRANSFERS. LARGE NUMBER DEALT WITH. The annual, meeting of the Auckland Licensing Committee was held yesterday. Mr. £. C. Cutten, S.M., was the chairman, and - with him • were Messrs. J. Grace; E. Leydon, G. Lethaby and J. Trevilhick. Mr. A. Thompson, the other member of the committee, is in Wellington. The following transfers were, granted Carlton Club Hotel, to William John O'Dowd; Strand Hotel, to William Arthur Clareyj Edinburgh Castle Hotel, to Ernest St. Clair Foster; Queen's Ferry Hotel, to William Edward Grant.
