AN EXHIBITION FUNCTION.
On Tuesday afternoon the president and directors of the Dunedin Exhibition entertained the committees of the women's rest room, the creche, and the St. John Ambulance Society. The Mayor, (Mr., Tapley, M.P.,)j in a humorous little" speech, emphasised the importance of these societies, and said that ha would like rest rooms and creches scattered over the town. Mr. Boyd also spoke of the splendid work clone, and then Miss Fraser (chairwoman of the women's rest room), thanked the directors for their loval co-operation throughout the period of work. Mrs. Macartney (of the creche) and Miss Pollock (of St. John Ambulance)' also thanked their committees and the directors.
