AN ORNAMENTAL SWEET.
Pare and core whole as many large apples as are required and fill with orange or lemon marmalade. Envelop with a crust made as follows: —Place six ounces of butter into a little water and put on tho lire, adding (when it boils) sufficient, flour to make into a paste—about lib. Add a little more hot water, if necessary. Bake the covered apples in a tin dish and, when couked, ice with sugar beaten up in white of egg. Harden off in a cool oven.
