WAIKATO HUNT.
A QUALIFYING MEET. [BY TEl.EOTtArir.—own con RESPONDENT.! HAMILTON, Saturday. A very pleasant outing was enjoyed by members of the Waikafo Hunt 011 Mr. A. N. Dingle's farm at, 'J'amahero this afternoon, when a qualifying meet was held preparatory to tho opening of tho club s season on May 8. Mr. Dingle's property is ideally suited for hunting and, as hares were fairly plentiful, some good hunting was J indulged in. Mr. Wynn Brown was master ! of hounds and he was n.-sii4ed by Messrs. S. Rendell. K. Brown, and (>. Peake us whijif. Sixteen couples of hounds look part in the hunt and they wcro followed by over 30 horsemen. Some 20 motor-cars also followed. Two kills wero registered and ther<j were some lively runs arid exciting jumping. Several hares got aw:iy into adjoining properly and the hounds had to be culled off. The .visitors wore cntertaiited to afternoon lea by Mr. and Mrs. Dingle.
