AKARANA CLU3. Members of the Akarana Rifle Club competed at ranges of 500 yds and 600 yds at Penrose on Saturday foi trophies presented by Messrs. I. Lomas. E. G. White and the j secretary. These were won outright by Riflemen E. J. C. Rcston, H. Dickey and B. A. Blythe. Silver spoons were won by Riflemen S. Elliott, H. Dickey and C. Rowe. Saturday's fixturo concluded the club's individual competitive series for tho season and the last event of tho season will be a rifle teams' match between tho Akarana Club and Auckland next Saturday. Members of the City and Suburbs Rifle Club fired the final p.hoot of the fifth trophy feries at Penrose 011 Saturday over 500 and 600 yards. Top scores were received by Riflemen, A. J. Pieterson in A grade with 91 and 11. W. Verrall in B grade with 84 (handicap 1), total 85. Silver spooii3 were won bv Rifleman J. A. Spry in A grade* and Rifleman H. W. Verrall in B grade.
