PEACHES FOR AUCKLAND.
THE TE KAUWHATA CROP. [BY TE^EOEAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Wednesday. The fruitgrowers at Te Kauwhata are exceedingly busy packing peaches for the Auckland market. The fruit has ripened ripidly during the last week, and long hours are being worked in getting it pickea, packed and railed. The weather conditions during the last few months have been unfavourable for the fruitgrowers, largely owing to the high winds that have been prevailing. Apples arc looking well, and satisfactory crops have been grown. The grapes are a fortnight oi more late in ripening this year, there being little sign of colour on the vines as yet. Heavy quantities are expected to be yielded this year.
