SPORTS AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.-—OWN COBEESPONDENT. ] THAMES, Wednesday. A swimming carnival was held last night. Owing to the unsuitable shape of the baths the times and distances could not be accurately measured. The chief events resulted:— 100 Yards Race.—Mcllvricle,, 1; Campbell, 2; Burgess, "3. Time, 73 l-ss. Ladies' 25yds.—Miss M. Ladner, 1; Miss P. Boyle, 2. Time, 225. Senior Boys' Event, 75yds.—Strange, 1; Campbell, 2; Burgess, 3. Girls' Dive.—Jean Smith and Annie Laing (dead heat). Men's Diving.—R. Cleave, 1; Strange and Nankiville (egual), 2. Ladies' Diving.—Miss N.ankivil!e, 1; Miss E. Burgess. 2. Dual Relay Race.—First heat: Miss J. Smith and Rowe, 1; Miss P. Boyle and Baker, 2. Second heat: Miss J. Gordon and Burgess, 1; Miss M. Ladner and Meikle, 2. Final: Mis 3J. Gordon and Burgess, 1; Miss J. Smith and Rowe, 2.
