LLOYD HAHN AND ROSE. THIRD RACE IN CHRISTCHURCH [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. It was announced to-day that R. A. Rose, of Master ton, the champion distance runner of Australasia, will meet Lloyd Hahn in the third mile test at Christchurch on Saturday week. Some doubt had existed as to whether the third clash would take place at Christchurch but arrangements have now been finalised and Rose's berth was booked to-day. The winner of last Saturday's magnificent race, accompanied by his trainer, will leave Wellington to-morrow week so thai; he will have a day in Christchurch before the meeting. Halm, in company with his countryman Schok, competed at Ashburton to-day and will be in action at Dnnedin on Saturday. The visitors will Ineet local runners at Invercargill on February 24 and appear in Christchurch three days The meeting of Hahn and Rose at Christchurch is looked upon as the greatest attraction the Canterbury centre has yet had and the contest is expected to impart a raxich-neeaed filip to sport in the province.
