The " Friday night steamer mail from New Plymouth was not delivered until late on Saturday morning, arid the tiaio of tho steamer s arrival at Onehuliga was always subject to a good, deal of variation, The council decided to reply that it intended to make independent inquiries of the Post and Telegraph Department about the suitability of the motor services for the carriage of through mails.
