REDHEAD DISASTER.

VERDICT OF THE CORONER. NAKED LAMP THE CAUSE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 12.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 16. At the inquest concerning the deaths of the victims of the Redhead colliery explosion, the coroner returned a verdict to the effect that the disaster was due to an explosion of fire-damp, caused by a naked flare lamp carried by deceased, Riley. The coroner said he was not prepared to say Whether there was neglect or omission on the part of the mine authorities.
