RAILWAY DUPLICATION.
AN,EXTENSION TO PAPAKURA. COUNTY COUNCIL'S SUPPORT. The question of the extension of the duplication of the railway, line from Penrose to Papakura was considered yesterday by .the Manukau County Council, duplication being now in progress as, far as Otahuhu ■ ' • It was decided to support the, request of the Manurewa Town Board to Mr. E. D. 'McLennan, M.P., asking him to arrange for' a depUtatioii from the council, and the Papakura, Papatoetoe and Manurewa Town Boards to wait on the Prime .Minister the siext time he is in Auckland to "press for early completion of the duplicate line to Papakura. The chairman and two members of the council will join the deputation. .-- 4 '
