LAWN TENNIS AT NICE. FINAL OF MIXED DOUBLES. (Received 9.35 p.m.) Router. PARIS, Feb. 7. In the final of the mixed doubles of the Nice lawn tennis tournament, Mdlle. Lenglen and Baron de Morpurgo defeated Miss Wills and Aeschliman, 6—l, 6—2. AMERICAN TENNIS TEAMS. ARRANGEMENTS FOR .TOURS. A. and N.Z. - NEW YORK. Feb. 7. The United States Lawn Tennis Association at | its annual meeting authorised ! a team to tour not only Australia, but England and France. ' Plans to send at least two leading men players this year to take part in the Wimbledon jubilee and French national championship tournaments were approved. At least two men will go to Australia for the championships next winter. A rule was adopted making Miss £. Ryan eligible to represent the United States in the Wightman Cup matches in England, in which four American women will play. The association approved the following tennis dates: —National singles, week beginning September 13, at West Side Tennis Club, New York; challenge round for the Davis Cup, September 9 to 11, at Germantown * The treasurer reported the association's financial condition to be the soundest in its history, the assets being over £20,000. The association's profits out of the national singles in 1925 totalled £7OOO, the Davis Cup challenge round brought £I2OO. The association divided £IBOO of its annual profits among certain clubs in the association to promote tennis.
