FIREMAN RESCUES CHILD.

NEW YORK, Oct. 24. Cecil Keiser, aged two, wandered on to the railway tracks as a Burlington train bore down. The fireman clambered from the cab, and stretching himself down in front of the pilot scooped the infant from death. A, moment later the squirming child slipped from the fireman's gloved hand and bounced off into a ditch, but was found quite unhurt when the train was brought to a standstill.
