"A very good show of oil; the best to date." has been obtained at the Moturoa bore, according to an official report released by Taranaki Oilfields, Ltd., to-day. When drilling was suspended a few days ago to allow of the cementing of the casing the drill was then working in hard sand, in which there were indications of oil. With the setting of the cement the bore was cleared out to its original bottom, releasing oil which had accumulated. .Between 30 and 40 barrels have since been baled outWhether drilling will be resumed, and when and to what depth, depends or?, investigations to be made.
