Miss Imrie, a Now Zealander, and proprietress of the Black Swan restaurant ♦ in the West Australian Agency Building, has been fined £7O, the maximum penalty, for not stamping waitresses* insurance cards. The Daily Express protests against the fine as being an excessive* punishment. It describes the penalty as a crippling one. Ihe paper points out that Miss Imrie has been doing good work in popularising Empire products.
