The Kntoa with cargo from Southern ports is to leave Pictou to-day for Auckland. She is due on Sunday. The Wingatui was to leave Bluff yesterday afternoon for Dunedin, Timaru, Lytelton and Wellington to complete loading for Auckland. Tho Kaiapoi ia expected to leave Lyttelton to-day for Wellington to complete loading for Aucklaud. Sho is duo at thi3 port <;n Monday. MAHENO IN PORT. 'lho intercolonial steamer Mahono arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon, and after medical inspection berthed at tho Queen's Wharf. '1 ho vessel waa delayed for a day at Sydney owing to a shortage of crow. She left port at 1 p.m. on baturday, and experienced a fine weather trip, with light north-oast winds and fmooth seas to Auckland. Included in the cargo aro transhipments cx the following steamers:— Orama, Dongala, Runio. Villa do Straaburg, Monaro. Arafura, Aki Maru. Almkerk. The Maheno was recently recjiiimissioned at Port Chalmers, after being laid up for somo months. Captain J. Three daya behind schedule time, tho Wainui arrived at Auckland from Gisborne last TV l * vessel was delayed on tho coast by bad weather. Sho left Auckland at ,> p.m. on August 11 and reached Gisborno tho following night when she landed l>er passenger by tender. Tho ncit morning a very heavy aea was running in the bay and prevented any lighters from working the vessel. On Friday the sea was worse and that evening tho Wainui was ordered on to Napier. Tho anchor was lifted and the •vessel proceeded on her journey. It was r, black, dirty nmht. which obliterated all land marks and shore li«hts and tho wind was freshening for a gale. In consequenco the Wainui returned to the bay and sheltered under Young Nick's Head. At daybreak on Saturday'the journey was resumed. After rounding Portland Island a hard southeast galo was encountered and tho boisterous conditions continued to Napier, which was leached that night. The Wainui anchored in the bay until Sunday morning when aho berthed at Port Ahuriri. Cargo waa landed on Monday and that nijht she left for Gisborne, where the conditions had improved. No difficulty was experienced it liirhtpring the cargo, and she cleared Gisborne at 5 p.m. on Tuesday for Auckland. Fine weather prevailed to thia port. Aftei replenishing her bunkers thia hiorning and loading cargo for Gisborne the vessel will be despatched at 3 pjn. for Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne.

OIL FROM SINGAPORE. The Anglo Saxon Petroleum Company's steamer Pinna is reported to have cleared Singapore on Monday with oil for New Zealand. MOERAKI AT SYDNEY. An arrival at Sydnoy on Tuesday night was tho Moeraki from Wellington. The vessel is scheduled to sail to-morrow with passengers, raaiis and cargo for Auckland. She is duo on Tuesday. THE R.M.S. MAUNGANUI. After loading cargo and mail and erabarking passengers at Wellington the Royal Mail .steamer Maunganui was despatched at 3 p.m. on Tujsday for San Francisco, via Karotouga and t'apeete. She is duo at San fcrancisco ou September 4. CANADIAN SKIRMISHER REPORTED. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Skirmisher, which was despatched from Auckland on Juno 50 for New York. The Union Company's steamer Wairnna sailed from San Francisco on August 11 with cargo from Pacific Coast porta for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney. The Federal Line steamer Kent arrived in tho Hauraki Gulf laat night from Liverpool and anchored off Rangitoto. The remainder of the cargo is for Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The New Zealand Snipping Company are the local agents. TUGELA LEAVES NAPIER. Tho Norwegian steamer Tugela left Napier at 5 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. She is due to-morrow. Tho vessel is bringing 1700 tons of cargo from Oslo, Rotterdam, Immington, Antwerp and South Africa for discharge at this port. From Auckland the vessel goes to Tonga to load copra and then to Australia to load wool for Europe. Burns, Philp and Co., Ltd., are the local agents. TAINUI EXPECTED ON MONDAY. An expected arrival at Wellington next Monday ia the Shaw, Savill and Albion linor Tainui, with passengers, mails and cargo from London and Southampton.
