HIPPODROME THEATRE.

Fred Thomson, the noted athlete, and his intelligent horse, Silver King, will be seen at the Hippodrome Theatre tomorrow in an F. 8.0. release, "Tho Silent Stranger." Hie film first shows Thomson as Jack Taylor, an ex-service man, who is now deaf and dumb, sayipg good-bye to his horse, Silver King. Kut, with tho devotion to his master that is known only by a horse or dog, Silver King jumps a fonce and follows the stage coach.. Jack, seeing Silver King, leaps from the fast-moving stage to the horse's back. Thomson's next bit of daring riding is one calling for him to leap from the saddle to the branch of a tree while the borsa is going at full speed. The action throughout the entire story is swift. Thomson mixes his riding and athletic ability nicely. At one time he jumps clear over a motor-car into the saddle. The most daring act of all is made when he does a (lying mount on a runaway team, rides Uiern in Roman style and finally stops I'he horses. The lovo sequences follow in good order. Hazel Keener, winner of many beauty contests, including that of tho Chicago Tribune, is winsome and is said to play her role well. Silver King, 1' red Thomson's trained horse, gives a wonderful performance. Tho supporting cast includes many wellknown players. The last of Jack Dempsey s "Fight and Win" pictures will also be screened. Music will bo provided by the jazz band from tho battleship Idaho. , RIALTO THEATRE. A special musical programme will be provided by tho jazz band of the battleship Idaho at the Rialto Theatre this ovening. The band has an extensive repertoire of tho latest American jazz numbers, and has boon highly commended by musical critics throughout America.
