AERIAL NAVIGATION.

AN IMPROVED SEXTANT. ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATIONS. Renter. LISBON. Aug. M Expei iments in an aeroplane with a sextant invented by Admiral Cnutinso have given complete satisfaction. The pilot was able to disregard Lorrcstiial observations and take his bearings entirely by astronomical observations, including latitude and longitude. It is anticipated that the methods of aerial navigation will be altered by the use of the new sextant, and that aerial travelling will be gieatly fucili ated.
