AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE Business was quiet on the Auckland sharcmarket on Saturday morning. In Government securities several classes wero in demand at late rates, tho only sellers being holders of Inscribed Stock at £97 2s 6d, against buying offers of £96 15s. In banks New Zealands were dono at 56s 3d and 56s 6d and tho market closed 56s 3d and 56s 9d, 3d firmer than on Friday. New South Wales wero again to be bad at £4l 7s 6d, but buyers had withdrawn. In insurance New Zealands were quoted at 35s 3d, a rise of 3d, but buyers were less keen and receded to 34s 6d. South British were unchanged at £2 10s 9d and £2 lis 6d. In miscellaneous Takapuna Trams changed bauds at 12s, a price at which more wero available, buyers 10s. Tho following sales took place:—Bank of New Zealand, sfo 3d and 56s 6d; Takapuna Traa\ and Ferry, 12s.
