ORDER OF RECHABITES.
NEW TENT AT OTAHUHU. The Independent Order of Rechabiteg opened a new tent at Otahuhu last Thursday for the purpose of instituting a branch of tho order there. Tho district chief ruler, Mr. H. J. Baker, who presided, performed tho installation ceremony. Nearly 20 members were enrolled. It was decided that the new tent, which is named " The Hope of Otahuhu Tent, No. 16," should affiliate to tho district hospital fund. The secretary stated that tho district fuiids amounted to over £40,000, tho average per member being nearly £4O. The following officers were elected: — Chief ruler, Mr. E. A. Lowe; deputyruler, ' Mr. W. Law son; past chief ruler, Mr. W. Taylor; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. C. Glover; steward, Mr. J. E. Kcnyon; levite, Mr. D. McNary; guardian, Mr. A. Patrick; auditors, Messrs. A. Sinclair and C. .A. Palmer; trustees, Messrs. W. Lawson, W. Taylor and J. R. W. Nicholls.
