commonwealth agreement OBJECTIONS IN N.S. WALES. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. ApL 17. The New South Wales State Ministers aro not bo favourably, impressed with the migration agreement entered into between the Commonwealth and the British Governments now as they were before details were available. Ministers express the opinion:; that there must be considerable modification of some of the conditions set down before the New South Wales Government would consent to be bound by the agreement. j The Premier, Sir George Fuller, in a statement, said that tho agreement was very involved. He did not propose to go into it before the general elections. One of the clauses to- which exception is taken by tho State Government, is that which provides that for every principal sum of £75 issued to the State Government an assisted migrant shall, within 10 years after , the date of tho agreement, sail direct from the United Kingdom to the State "concerned, be received into and satisfactorily settled; and within 10 years after tho date of tho agreement there shall havo been included in every 10,000 assisted migrants received into and satisfactorily settled in the State concerned such number of assisted migrant families without capital as consist in tho aggregate of 3750 persons.
