LONDON BUTTER MARKET. NEW ZEALAND PRICES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11 P.m.) LONDON. Apl. IS. The butter market is quiet. New Zealand choicest, salted, is quoted at 164s and unsalted at 1745. Australian, salted, is quoted at 158s to 160s, and unsalted at 1665. Danish is qi&ted at 186s. Cheese is firm. New Zealand is quoted at 102s and Australian at 98s to 100 a. MARCH BUTTER IMPORTS. INCREASE ON LAST YEAR. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received tho following cablegram from their head office, London, under dato April 16, regarding the dairy produce market: Butter. —Tho market is steady but quiet. The total imports of butter to tho United Kingdom for March wero 490,000cwt. The total imports of butter into tho United Kingdom for March of last year were 455,000cwt. Wo quote: — New Zealand butter, salted, 1665; exceptional brands, 168s; Danish butter, 1945; finest Australian salted, 160s; unsalted, 168s. Cheese. —Tho market is steady. New Zealand, white, 101s to 102s; coloured, 100s to 101s. Tho following cablegram has been received by Mr. W. W. Bowlcer from London, under dato April 16: — Butter.—Tho market is quiet, and there is a downward tendency. First grado, salted, 164s to 1665; unsalted, 174s to 1765. Cheese.—The market is steady at 101s to 102s for first grado vrhite and coloured.
