WAITEMATA POWER LOAN.
Sir,—Mr. A. M. Gould again sidesteps the issue, namely, can he produce written authority that the Aucltland Power Board will amalgamate ? As far as I know, tho Auckland Board has not yet consented to this proposal. He has failed to state where it is unsound, but is going to a lot of trouble and expense in trying to block the board's loan proposals, when ho cannot offer any definite proposal to the district to obtain power and light. AH Mr. Gould offers is tho speculation that tho Auckland Power Board might be willing to amalgamate if the Minister will give his consent. Mass E. Thompson.
