THE PRICE OF BREAD.

Sir,—Can anyone toll me how it is that the prices for wheat, flour and bread are higher in New Zealand than in ! any other place in the world ? I have learned that the price of wheat in Liverpool to-day is 6s per bushel, and bread is 5d a 2lb. loaf, which is considerably less than what wo are pacing in New Zealand, and yet the wheat is going all the way from Australia to England. How can they pay freight on this from Australia to Ebgland, and sell it cheaper than - we have to pay for it in New Zealand? 9 ANXIOUS.
