PROPAGANDA IN N. S. WALES. "SPENDING £2O-000 A YEAR." The Bathurst, New South Wales, Chamber of Commerce had before it at a recent meeting a communication from the Commercial and Industrial Publicity Bureau, Sydney, drawing attention to "the alarming spread of the Communistic element which is endeavouring to get control of the industrial and political affairs of tho State." It w-is pointed out that the bureau had information to the effect that the "Red" element was 'spending £20,000 a year in Communist propaganda, and that there was extreme danger of the element being introduced into New South Walos politics. This, it was added, would prove disastrous to tho State. Tho chamber was urged to form an anti-Communist group m Bathurst in order to combat the menace, but tho Meeting decided that it was not a matter to concern its members.
