"COULD NOT LEAVE IT." An unusual incident occurred during the morning service at St. Paul's Cathedral on a recent Sunday. A well-dressed woman entered tho building with s. King Charles spaniel tucked under her arm. and, standing at the back of the rearmost pew, seemed to be absorbed in the beauty of the service. The dog was as silent as his mistress. Presently a verger approached and pointed out Chat dogs were not allowed in the cathedral. She frankly admitted her error. "I know." she said, "that I did wrong in bringing it in, but you see I could not very well leave it alone in my car outside." She then wandered leisurely away..
