HOW TO SPEND £IOOO. WHAT IS YOUR IDEA 1 There will be quite a lot of money foi people to spend when the "Gigantic Arl Union" prizes are drawn. Just how the winner of the first prize will spend his or her, £IOOO is a matter of conjecture. A trip around the world seems to rank a: first favourite at present, though manj other good ways of spending it have beer suggested. Altogether £4OOO, all in alluvial gold at present held by the Bank oi New Zealand, will be distributed as prizes —and the demand for "Gigantic Art Union" tickets indicates that there are many aspirants anxious to do the spending. Each ticket has 186 ohatices of winning prizes. It is possible for one ticket to win the whole £4OOO. Results will.be advertised in this paper immediately after drawing.
