POWER FOR WAITEMATA.
MEETING AT HENDERSON. A HOSTILE RESOLUTION. A meeting in opposition to the Waitemata Power Board's loan proposals was held at Henderson on Thursday evening, Mr. B. Hart, chairman of tho Henderson Town Board, presiding over about 25 persons. The speakers included Mr. A fc .E. Grecnslade, a member of the board, Mr. R. ,G. Greville, chairman of the Belmont-Bays-water Ratepayers' Association, and Mr. A. M. Gould, of Takapuna. ■ On the motion of Mr. J. H. Hayes, the following motion was carried by 13 votes to s:—" That this meeting thanks the speakers for their presence and addresses, and approves of the policy of amalgamation of the Waitemnta and Auckland Power Boards, and with that object pledges itself to turn down the present loan proposals of the Waitemnta Power Board."
