THE ANNUAL EXHIBITION. The monthly meeting of the Council of the Auckland Society of Arts was held on Thursday evening. Further arrangements wero made in connection with the annual exhibition, which wilt he opened on June 10. .Several Australian artists notified their intention of exhibiting. The council expressed its endorsement of the Civic Square scheme, and wished the City Council every success at the poll. It was decided to write to the Ministor in charge of the Tourist, Department requesting him to prevent, the use of any part of the Milford Sound for conmui'cial purposes
