DEATH FROM POISONING.
FATALITY IN CANTERBURY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU. Monday. A man named John Beattie, originally of Nightcaps, working at Mount Nessing, was taken ill on Friday and died at Pleasant Point this morning. An inquest was held and a verdict was returned that death was due to syncope, the result of acute poisoning.
