TAXATION OF LUXURIES.

The Tariff Bill has passed the Lower House in spile of the strenuous protests of the Opposition. It carries the SeiyuK.ii Party's recommendation that domestically produced luxuries shall be subject t'> a tax similar to that at present imposed. It also provides that the tariff Wiail be revised as occasion warrants.
