Duncan, Cotterill and Coad, and who has fre quently appeared in Court on behalf of that firm, was charged to-day before Mr. Widdowson, S.M., with having failed to account for two sums totalling £15. Accused, who was arrested at Rakaia yesterday, was represented by Mr. L. A. Charles.

Chief-Detective Gibson applied for a remand until next Wednesday. This was granted. Mr. Charles asked for bail. Chief-Detective Gibson: The man would be much better off if he were not on bail.
