ADDICTS IN RUSSIA. A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 7. The Moscow correspondent of the Daily Express says that startling revelations have been made before a special commission appointed by the Commissariat of Health to investigate conditions among homeless children in Russia. There are 50,000 in Moscow alone, of whom 40 per cent, were found to be cocaine addicts. Dr. Bocharov. Moscow's most noted pathologist, declares that he found that many children spent an equivalent of £4 to £10 weekly on cocaine, obtaining the necessary money almost entirely by stealing.
