BUSH AT WAITAKERE.

PRESENTATION TO THE CITY. FORMAL CEREMONY TO-DAY. The formal presentation of the piece of native bush at Waitakere which has been set aside by Mr. Wesley Spragg as ft gift to the city j will take place to-day, when the Mayor, Mr. J. H. Gunson, and. members of the City Council will make « special Visit to the area. The bush, which is 50 acres in extent, contains a number of very fine kauris as well as an excellent showing of rimu, miro and totara. In addition to the bush, there is an open area on the road frontage suitable as a site for a tea kiosk, and there is little doubt that this nBW property will be developed in the near future and become a popular rendezons for motor parties. There is a metalled road to the new park and citizens who are able* to provide their own means of transport are invited to accompany the municipal party, which will leave the Town Hall at 10.30 a.m.v to-day.
