HOUSE SET ON FIRE. WOMAN TIED' TO TREE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.5' p.m.)' ' BRISBANE. Feb. 11. A sensational , incendiary outrage is reported from the Gayndah district. Mrs. Pope wife -of an employee of the Cooya Station, states that an unknown man visited the house during her husband's absence, tied her to a tree, and set fire to the house, which was totally destroyed.

She managed to free herself after the man's departure.

The police are searching the district, which is, extremely rugged.
