GERMAN SEAMEN.

STRIKERS REPATRIATED. BRITISH UNION'S ACTION. Renter. LONDON. Feb. 10 Six hundred German seamen who have been on strike have left London for Hamburg. They were repatriated by the Seamen and Firemen's Union, an official of which explained that they are being repatriated in the interests of the shipping community and the> world generally ; also as a protest against the action of certain shipowners in chartering German bottoms on account of cheapness rather than use their own vessels, hundreds of British seamen in consequence being unable to obtain work. Captain upper said that if any men ■were penalised by German shipowners the strike would be resumed and all German shipping in British ports would be completely boycotted.
