492,000 BRITISH LICENSES.
A. and ,N.Z. LONDON. Nov. 8. The Postmaster-General, Sir Laming Worthington Evans, opening the British Wireless Exhibition, said there were now 492,000 listening-in licenses, compared with 170,000 at the end of September. This was the result of the appeal to " pirate " listeners in. " I will not be content until the number of licenses is quadrupled," he said. "Every cottage ought to have an : apparatus."
