WIRELESS IMPASSE.
AUSTRALIAN NEGOTIATIONS.
MATTER FOR THE COMPANY.
Australian And N.Z. Cable Association. (tfocd. 8.30 jj.m.l LONDON, Nov. 8. The Economic Conference will to-mor-row again have the wireless question before it, but the impasse between the Post Office and the Marconi Company continues, and it seems as if Mr. S. M. Bruce will have to continue to negotiate apart from the conference to obtain direct communication with Australia. It is understood that he has had practically no support f.-om either Canada or South Africa, who are quite content with the present position in regard to wireless. It would thus appear as if Mr. Bruce will have to deal with the Marconi Company instead of the British Post Office to secure his object.
