LIVED WITH BROKEN SPINE.
DEATH AFTER 13 YEARS.
Death from a fractured spine, the result of an accident which occurred 13 years ago, was the verdict returned at an inquest at Sutherland, on Francia Reynolds, 42, a seagoing fireman, of King's Entry, Sunderland.
It appears that in 1910 he was on board the Clintonia, at Sulina; Rumania, arid one night he heard his mate call for help. A lighter was lying alongside, and Reynolds jumped off his ship into the lighter to ascertain the cause of the cry. ; • In jumping he injured himself, and this set up paralysis in both legs.
