A message from Riga states that customs activities are causing a political and domestic crisis at Reval, where face powder and perfumes are contraband.
Actresses are flaunting the possession of both, while society women, including even the wives of Government officials, are deprived of the aide of beauty. Their indignation is coupled with a discovery by the Customs Department of the disappearance of large quantities of powder and perfume which had been confiscated on the frontier. This has placed prominent Ministers in a most awkward and incriminating i position.
