CITY COUNCIL EMPLOYEE. .1 - >- On his retirement after 42 years* . service with the Auckland City Council, Mr.: James Lovoll was presented by the staff with a gold watch and pencil case, and his wife was the recipient of an entree dishIn making the presentation, the town clerk, Mr, .J. S. Brigham, said Mr. Lovell was the first employee to retire under the superannuation scheme formulated by the Mayor and the present council. MrLovell joined the staff when the municipal offices consisted of two rooms, situated over a shop in Queen Street. On behalf of the staff he wished Mr. and Mrs. Loveli every good fortune and long enjoyment of their well-earned period of retirement.
