BUILDER WHO DISAPPEARED^ An application for a lien . under, the Wages Protection and: Contractors . ; Liens Act, » 1908, was -heard by Mr. Justice Stringer in the Supreme 'Court yesterday. Henderson and Pollard, Ltd. (Mr." Inclcr) were" the, plaintiffs, the defen- J dants being Jane Waterhouse {Mr. Hunt), of Grey Ljiin, and William Joseph Waterhouse, • her husband. . Mr Inder stated that plaintiffs had supplied timber worth £346 18s 2d. during June and July, io William Waterhouse for the construction of a house for his wife. The! husband, who was a builder, had disappeared. Herbert Henry Pollard, managing direct tor of plaintiff's firm, said no part of the sum owing had been paid. . Mr.. Hunt ■ consented to ;an '.".'• order against Mrs. Waterhouse. His Honor made an order charging the property and any moneys coming from the wife to the husband under the contract. He allowed £10 10s costs and dis- : bursements. > - ' . ,
