MOTOR-CAR DESTROYED.
FIRE ON COUNTRY ROAD. OWNER A. HEAVY LOSER. ! [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT. 3 HAMILTON. Tuesday. A six-cylinder Chandler motor-car, belonging to Mr. H. Holtby, taxi diiver, of Hamilton, took fire on the Te Awa-mutu-Hamilton road last night about nine o'clock, and was completely destroyed. The car was ascending Taylor's Hill, a few miles from To Awamutu at the time. It is believed that the fire was caused through the engine back-firing. The car was comparatively a new one and, although the owner had it insured for £500, ho wil] be a heavy loser.
