As the result of a street collection on Saturday afternoon the ladies' committee of the Te Aroha branch of the Plunfcet Society obtained £27 12s for the furtherance of the work in this district. The Methodist Choir has. entered for the annual competitions at Hamilton in 'M October 22. .■ The " Irish Night," promoted by the .g Te Aroha Orphans' Club, was held last evening.
