PLUNKET SOCIETY APPEAL. * [BE 'TELEGRAPH.-—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ' 4 TE AROHA, Tuesday. As the result of a street collection on Saturday afternoon the ladies' committee of the Te Aroha branch of the Plunfcet Society obtained £27 12s for the furtherance of the work in this district. The Methodist Choir has. entered for the annual competitions at Hamilton in 'M October 22. .■ The " Irish Night," promoted by the .g Te Aroha Orphans' Club, was held last evening. This function marked tho. third of the " National Series." An attendance ;■>: of well over 100 members and visitors wis . present. Items were contributed by ' i Messrs. W. F. .Simons, 'B, Nionan.
