MURDER AND SUICIDE. LONDON. April 24. A verdict of murder and of suicide while of unsound mind whs returned at an inquest at Wandsworth on a bookmaker and his wife who were found shot dead in their residence. In a letter • the bookmaker wrote that ho ha"d been unsuccessful,. that backers owed him £1200, and "unable to stand it any longer" he was taking his "poor wife" with nim. > ■■..", ; , : '-, ".''■ . .'. .V • * . The coroner, sympathising with the "bookmaker, said that the time was coming when the State must supervise betting transactions. ,
